Grade 2 listed terrace, Chester

GBS was asked to replace inappropriate windows that had replaced the originals some years ago with new sliding sash windows, double glazed.

As a listed building consent was required. We liased with the local authority conservation officer and assisted the client in providing drawings showing the style and the important Georgian bar detail.

We were also asked to replace the front entrance door and frame which again had been replaced with a standard and inappropriate replacement .
Fortunately the original style was to be found in the neighbouring property which we were able to replicate entirely.

Happily the property now blends into the terrace as it should.
