Trees for Life

We thought you’d like to know about some of our achievements in 2011:

* We planted nearly 40,000 native trees.

* 369 volunteers took part in our conservation activities in the Scottish Highlands.

* This year we launched an exciting new programme of Green Days Out, providing opportunities for local volunteers to get involved with practical conservation projects based at Dundreggan Estate and the surrounding areas.

* Thanks to a Your Heritage grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund we have been able to improve access for visitors at Dundreggan Estate, with facilities including way-marked pathways and interpretation displays.

* We were a partner in organising the Forestry in the Highlands conference, held in Inverness this Autumn.

* We are all looking forward to the planting of our one millionth tree in 2012, and are planning a range of public events to mark this momentous occasion in Trees for Life’s history, so keep an eye out for more information in the New Year.

… and it was all thanks to you!
